2009-2010 Annual Fund Information

Tuition revenues support only 85% of necessary income for classroom resources and associated operating costs. The annual fund drive is the cornerstone of fundraising efforts and helps to expand academic programs, cover operating costs, and ensure the long-term viability of the school.

Last year’s Annual Fund paid for:

  1. Specials including art, Spanish, music, physical education and gardening
  2. New beginning reader and phonics books for the Primary classrooms
  3. The addition of chess and technology into the curriculum for grades K-4
  4. Continuing Montessori education for staff members
  5. Montessori certification for five St. James teachers
  6. Allowed us to maintain small teacher to student ratios at a reasonable tuition rate

In 2008-2009, we raised $30,254 and 100% of the St. James families, faculty, and board participated in the Annual Fund drive.

How will your contribution benefit St. James this year?

  1. Continued funding for specials including technology, art, Spanish,  music, physical education and gardening
  2. The addition of chess to the curriculum for primary students
  3. Continuing Montessori education for staff members
  4. Increase staff benefits
  5. Maintain a reasonable tuition rate and small teacher  to student ratios
  6. Schools who have 100% participation in giving from parents, faculty, and school board are eligible for grants

2009-2010 Goal: $35,000

To reach this year’s goal, we suggest a donation of $300 per family. For a donation of $1,000 or more, your family name will be added to our “donor tree” at the entrance of the Children’s Garden.  Contributions are 100% tax deductible and can be made by check, credit card or online (soon!) at http://www.stjamesepiscopal.info.

The Annual Fund gives parents, grandparents, parishioners, and staff the opportunity to show their support and appreciation for the educational excellence and nurturing environment that St. James provides our children. Each gift to the Annual Fund is essential, so please make a donation that is comfortable for your family.
