History of St. James

Marie Mosely and Father Fleener began St. James Montessori School in the summer of 1967. There were 54 children ranging in age from 2½ to 4. Marie laid the foundation for the school and even after her retirement in 1987, remained a driving force in each classroom. Before entering an assisted living center last year, Marie donated all of her teacher manuals and precious hand-made works to our staff and students.

St. James is celebrating our 40th anniversary this year, and we have 105 students, ranging in ages from 18 months to 11 years old.
